Before getting started, ensure that your system meets the minimum requirements:
- macOS Monterey 12 or higher
- Windows 10 or higher (64bit)
- 8 GB RAM
- 4 Core CPU or Apple Silicone Chip
- A supported DAW compatible with VST, VST3, AU, or AAX plug-in file formats
- 1 GB free hard disk space
- Internet connection to download and authorise software
1. Get the Downloader
You can get your instrument downloader from your order email or find all your available product downloaders on the website under My Account.
The zipped file will contain applications for both Mac (.dmg) and PC (.exe).
2. Run the Downloader
Select the file relevant to your OS and run it, paying attention to any prompts that might appear on your system. This will connect to our servers and download the instrument.
Once the Downloader has finished click “Open Folder” in the small window to locate your Installer.
3. Run the Installer
Follow the on-screen instructions. Agree to the terms, then select your content location & plugin formats for install.
Once installation is complete, open up your DAW.
4. Authorise the Plugin
You will find your new ROOTS plugins categorised under “Westwood”. Authorisation takes place when you first load the plugin within your DAW.
Ensure you are connected to the internet. The authorisation window will appear. Just log in with your Westwood Instruments account credentials (email and password).
