Ensure Native Access Knows Where to Find Your Library
If your library is a Kontakt PLAYER library, the first thing to do is ensure your library has been authorised in Native Access. If you're unsure if this applies to your library here, see the chart in this article.
Before doing any further steps be sure you close out any instances of Kontakt and your DAW that you may have open. If you see a yellow exclamation point within Native Access, you will need to repair or locate the library.
Troubleshooting Continued
If the above has not resolved your issue there are additional checks we can make. Before proceeding, ensure you have any instances of Kontakt and your DAW closed.
Open either Finder (macOS) or File Explorer (Windows) and locate the folder for your library.
Inside the folder for the respective library, open the Samples folder. There you will see some files ending in .nkc
.nkc files are cache files created by Kontakt upon using a library and are usually the root cause for GUI related issues.
You can delete these .nkc files. Then relaunch your DAW/Kontakt. You should see that the GUI is back to normal, and the cache files have been regenerated.
If your issue persists following the steps above please Submit a request with the link below and be sure to include the following:
- a screenshot of Kontakt
- a screenshot of your instrument library folder
- your OS and version number
- your DAW and version number
- your Kontakt version number
