Incorrect Folder Selected
In most cases, when you see this message within Native Access, it is because the incorrect folder has been selected when locating your library.
When registering your library within Native Access, you will need to Locate the folder that you downloaded via Pulse. When selecting your library folder, please ensure that you are choosing the parent folder containing the .nicnt file.
An Issue Occurred During Download
While it may not be parent, there may have been an issue that occurred when downloading the library via Pulse. This is most obvious if you noticed that the parent folder for your library is missing the .nicnt file.
If this is the case, redownloading the library via Pulse should resolve the issue for you.
Enabling Full Disk Access (macOS only)
It may be necessary to enable Full Disk Access on your Mac:
- Open your Mac System Preferences and click Security & Privacy
- Under Privacy, choose Full Disk Access from the sidebar
- Click the lock icon in the bottom left and enter your macOS password
- Scroll through the list of apps to locate Native Access
Note! If Native Access is not listed, click the + icon to add it. The Native Access default location is: Macintosh HD > Applications > Native Access - Tick the box next to the Native Access icon
- Click the lock icon again and close the System Preferences
- Relaunch Native Access
Incorrect Hard Drive Formatting
Hard drives formatted with "case sensitive" formats are not compatible with Native Instruments. The supported formats are as follows:
- Windows: NTFS
- macOS: Mac OS Extended (Journaled) for macOS 10.12 and earlier, and APFS (Apple File System) for macOS 10.13 and later
Disable Security Applications
In some rare cases, certain security applications may cause issues with adding libraries within Native Access. Temporarily disable or uninstall any additional security apps you may have, then try relocating the Kontakt library.
Conflict Within Native Access Preferences
You can access your Native Access preferences by clicking on the user icon on the top right. From here, examine your Content location, which should match the main folder where your Westwood libraries are installed (ie. Not a specific library folder). Your content location must always be above the library folder you are installing (i.e., content location should never be your 'Westwood Instruments - ALT PIANO' folder).
Make sure the three locations are pointing at different folders, it is advised to keep download and application locations as default.
